Rooftop Cafeteria Design

Kocaeli is a bustling industrial city near Istanbul, Turkey, home to many factories and large companies. This unnamed company sought to provide a unique experience for its workers by constructing a rooftop cafeteria unit resembling a trendy cafe in the heart of the city. By doing so, they aimed to provide workers with a space to enjoy their meals and breaks in a comfortable and relaxing environment.

The cafeteria's lower floor was designed to provide a cozy and inviting atmosphere with ample seating for those who wish to dine in to cater to the workers' needs. The design of this area was carefully thought out to ensure it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The use of black and wood materials created a harmonious ambiance that added to the comfort and warmth of the space.

In order to maintain the existing ceiling height and take advantage of the mechanical components passing through the ceiling, an industrial approach was taken in the design of the rooftop cafe. This allowed for a spacious area that could be used to host crowded events such as birthdays or corporate events while still providing a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. The seating units in this area were carefully arranged to make the most of the ceiling height and the beautiful view of the surrounding area.

This rooftop cafeteria was designed under the creative direction of the A4 Architecture studio. The A4 team worked tirelessly to create a beautiful and functional space for the workers and presented my designs with renders, layout plans, and a stunning presentation to the customer. Overall, the rooftop cafeteria is a testament to the dedication and creativity of the A4 team and provides workers with a space that is both functional and enjoyable to spend time in.
